Artribune Focus on Fashion and Fragrances: Mirko Sperlonga’s Perspective in Portraying Filippo Sorcinelli.

On November 25, 2023, the second presentation of the new Paper Issue took place Artribune Focus Moda e Fragranze in Rome, at the magnificent Art Gallery Contemporary Cluster.

To hold the presentation were:  Alessia Caliendo, Anna Frabotta, the founder of Frab’s Magazine whose store is located in the same Gallery.

The new Focus Moda aims to rediscover the cultural identity of the Italian fashion industry throughout the peninsula. Often subject to clichés, the Made in Italy is here identified as a vast “exhibition space” crafted with care, aiming to stimulate the sense of beauty promoted by the educational institutions participating in the narrative. Among the stories featured in this issue is that of Filippo Sorcinelli, a versatile artist who has revolutionized the concept of sacred vestments by founding Atelier LAVS, and who has transformed contemporary and intimate spheres into overwhelming fragrances.

The cover of the article dedicated to the artistic figure of Filippo, titled “Sacred and Profane in the Art of Filippo Sorcinelli,” was created by Mirko Sperlonga. He visited the Atelier LAVS in Rome and captured in his minimalist aesthetic the textures of the fabrics and the details of one of the sacred vestments on display, the Mitre.

Filippo’s story, his dedication to sacred vestments, and his fragrances are further visually showcased through additional shots taken by the visual artist Tiziano Demuro.
